Project by Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Project Description: This experiment involved six gillnet vessels each fishing a specially made net (see also the Post-Release Survival Study: Barkley Sound 1998 Trials). Three vessels were involved in experiments focussing on the length of set or soak time and three focused on experiments in hang ratios.

Description du projet : Cet essai a fait appel à six fileyeurs dont chacun travaillait avec un filet spécialement conçu (voir aussi l'étude sur la survie après remise à l'eau : essais de 1998 dans la baie Barkley). Trois bateaux ont mené des expériences axées sur la durée de mouillage, et trois ont fait des essais sur le taux d'armement.
